Abbot House has two rooms available for hire now.

FLIGHT ROOM

The Flight Room is a multi-functional space that is particularly suited to meetings, workshops, talks and events. This is a Grade A listed room and unsuitable for activities that may damage the space, e.g. painting.

N.B. This room is situated on the 1st floor and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

THE WORKSHOP

The Workshop is a multi-functional space particularly suited to creative workshops and exhibitions.

  • Size 31.7 m2 (12m x2.5m)
  • Concrete Floor
  • Electric Sockets – 2 at each desk space
  • Small sink with running water
  • 4 work desks – sitting or standing
  • Max seating capacity – 16
  • Available 9.30-21.00 Tuesday – Sunday, closed Monday
  • Hourly Rate £18.00
  • Daily Rate £150.00
  • 2 hour minimum hire
  • Wheelchair Accessible
  • Flat access

N.B. This room is located in our outbuilding within our walled garden and has direct access for anyone with mobility issues.

Cancellation Policy

As a charity there is a cost to administer your booking and market your event therefore bookings are non-refundable upon cancellation.

Date changes can be made to bookings without charge if there is suitable availability.

Please contact hello@abbothouse.org if you need to cancel or amend your booking.

Disabled Access

The Workshop and toilets are accessible to wheelchair users. Due to the narrow shape of The Workshop wheelchair users or participants with mobility issues will have restricted movement around the room if at full capacity. We recommend you view the room to assess this.

The Flight Room is situated on the 1st floor up two sets of stairs and unfortunately is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Location and Parking

Abbot House is located at The Maygate, Dunfermline, Fife KY12 7NE. The Workshop is an outbuilding located in our garden, which is accessed through our main garden gates.

Please note that Abbot House has no dedicated parking. The Maygate and The Kirkgate has limited disabled parking and 1 hour maximum parking between 9am-6pm Monday-Saturday and 1pm -6pm on a Sunday. Parking payment is allowable on the expiration of the previous session.

Larger long stay Fife Council car parks can be located in St. Margaret’s Drive, Walmer Drive and Bruce Street.

Public Liability Insurance

Prior to your event you will need to provide us with proof of your Public Liability Insurance. If this is not provided then your event will be cancelled without any refund.

Promotion and marketing

The marketing of your event is your own responsibility, however Abbot House is delighted to support you by promoting through our website, Facebook, and Instagram.
