Peace Out workshop with Beverley and Lesley Anne

Dates: Thursday 7 May

Time: 1.30-3.30pm

Location: The Flight Room at Abbot House

Join Peace Out as we open up conversations about death, dying, and what matters most. A gentle, practical workshop open to all.

Why this workshop?

Most of us know we should talk about our wishes for the end of life, but we don’t always know how to begin.

So we put it off.

And when the time comes, families are often left guessing, trying to make decisions without knowing what their loved one would have wanted.

Peace Out workshops offer a calm, supportive space to explore these conversations, without pressure, without formality, and without needing to have all the answers.

What well explore together

What happens in Scotland when someone dies

• A simple overview of burial, cremation, and other options

• What you can choose – and what you don’t have to decide right away

Thinking about your own wishes

• What really matters to you

• The small details that make a big difference for loved ones

• Why writing something down can be a gift to those you leave behind

Starting the conversation

• We will open discussion on the topic making it feel less awkward and more human.

Gentle Planning Guide

• We will end with some time to think about or even complete a simple planning document you can keep safe for when it’s needed.

What youll gain

• A clearer understanding of your options in Scotland

• A simple way to begin recording your wishes

• Words and confidence to talk with the people who matter most

• A sense of calm around a topic that often feels overwhelming

What this workshop is (and isnt)

This is not about making firm decisions or filling out complicated paperwork. It’s about starting where you are, with curiosity and kindness.

You’re welcome to:

• Share as much or as little as you like

• Simply listen and reflect

• Take your time with anything that feels emotional

Opening and Grounding Spirals: Axial Matrix, Shoulders, Hands and Sky Flow with Alice Rainbow Yoga

Dates: Sunday 14 June

Time: 10.00am-1.00pm

Location: The Flight Room at Abbot House

A small-group workshop exploring spiral organisation through the body, with the axial matrix, shoulders and hands offering the main doorway into Sky Flow.

Rooted in my study of the 5 Filaments Spiral Syllabus of Karen Kirkness and Célina Hwang, this workshop is an invitation to move, sense, notice and explore how Opening and Grounding Spirals can be experienced through whole-body support, reach, responsiveness and connection.

I often say in class that we are the illusion of symmetry, and that spirals are deeply woven through life and through us too. This workshop offers a subtle, embodied, awareness-led space to explore those spiral relationships through movement, curiosity and felt experience.

Expect a gentle but profound practice with guided exploration, moments of pause, and space to let the work land in the body. Less about achieving shapes, more about listening, discovering, and meeting movement as a whole-body experience.

No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Maximum 10 participants. Tea and a wee snack included

Grounding and Opening Spirals: Axial Matrix, Hips, Feet and Earth Flow with Alice Rainbow Yoga

Dates: Sunday 23 August

Time: 10.00am-1.00pm

Location: The Flight Room at Abbot House

A small-group workshop exploring spiral organisation through the body, with the axial matrix, hips and feet offering the main doorway into Earth Flow.

Rooted in my study of the 5 Filaments Spiral Syllabus of Karen Kirkness and Célina Hwang, this workshop is an invitation to move, sense, notice, connect and integrate through grounding, support, yielding, responsiveness and whole-body spiral relationship.

This is subtle, embodied, awareness-led work that invites us to explore how grounding and opening live together in the body. Through guided movement and felt experience, we’ll approach the body not as separate parts, but as a connected whole.

Expect a gentle yet deep practice with space for curiosity, exploration, rest, and integration. Less about “getting it right”, more about listening, discovering, and allowing movement to unfold in a more connected way.

No prior experience is needed — only curiosity and a body to arrive with. Maximum 10 participants. Tea and a wee snack included.
